Colin Seals leads LG Energy Solution’s engagement with federal, state, provincial, and local policymakers across North America. He works to ensure the company’s public policy and external affairs strategies support its business objectives in battery manufacturing, energy storage, and electrification. 

Colin joined LG Energy Solution after serving as Director of Government Affairs for an electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, where he developed incentive strategies, advanced public-private partnerships, and supported international investment initiatives. 

Previously, Colin was a U.S. Foreign Service Officer with postings in Mexico, Canada, and Chile, where he advanced U.S. economic prosperity and security in the energy, automotive, and telecom sectors. Earlier in his career, he practiced commercial litigation at major law firms in Chicago. 

Colin holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Michigan. He serves on the board of Global Ties Detroit, an organization dedicated to strengthening connections between Detroit and the world.
