Emmanuel Wagner
Key Account Manager, Honda
With over 15 years of experience in clean energy, Emanuel Wagner is a veteran in the hydrogen and fuel cell industry, with brings deep expertise in business development, policy, and coalition-building. Emanuel currently serves as Key Account Manager II at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. In this role, he engages in strategic initiatives to advance Honda’s hydrogen fuel cell business, focusing on product development, customer engagement, and market expansion for the company’s current and next-generation fuel cell modules.
Emanuel also advanced hydrogen and fuel cell initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic when he served as Lead for Hydrogen Strategy and Business Development at Washington Gas Light Company (WGL). There, he spearheaded hydrogen deployment efforts in the capital region, supported the Mid-Atlantic Hydrogen Hub application, and developed decarbonization roadmaps. He was President of Palamedes Strategies, a clean energy consulting firm that worked on securing public funding, advised universities on hydrogen pilots, and fostered regional clean-tech ecosystems.
Earlier in his career, Emanuel held leadership roles at key hydrogen industry associations. He was Director for Market Development at the U.S. Hydrogen Alliance, Deputy Director of the California Hydrogen Business Council, where he spent over a decade growing the organization’s influence through advocacy, education, and stakeholder engagement, and Vice President at the Hydrogen Education Foundation, managing the $1M DOE H2 Refuel H-Prize and international student competitions.
Emanuel holds a Master’s degree in Political Science.
